  • Khajuraho temple is world renowned for its sculpture dedicated to Shiva, Vishnu and Jain deities and sexually explicit carving both inside and outside of the temples. A UNESCO world heritage site Khajuraho is believed to have has over 75 temples of which 22 remain today.
  • Orchha is town near the banks of Betwa river. The medieval city of Orchha seems to have forzen in time, its palaces and temples still retaining their original grandeur.
  • Jhansi City, situated between the rivers Pahunj and Betwa is a symbol of bravery, courage and self espect. It is said that in ancient times Jhansi was the part of the regions Chedi Rashtra, Jejak Bhukit, Jajhoti and Bundelkhand. In 1842 raja Gangdhar rao married Mannikarnika. After this marriage Mannikarnika was given the new name Lakshmi Bai, who led forces against British in 1857. She sacrificed her life to the cause of Indian Independence in 1858.
  • The Raneh Falls is a natural water fall on the Ken River, located in Chhatarpur district of Madhya Pradesh. The Ken River forms a 5 kilometers long and 30 metres (98 ft) deep canyon made of pure crystalline granite in varying shades of colours ranging from pink and red to grey. There is a series of waterfalls in the canyon. The larger and smaller falls run all through the year. Other seasonal falls appear during monsoons. It is about 20 kilometres away from Khajuraho The Ken Gharial Sanctuary is located at the confluence of the Ken and Khudar rivers further down from Raneh Falls.
  • Day 1 - Reporting at Jhansi (Hotel Om Place) by 12.00 Noon. Visit to Museum & Fort of Jhansi after lunch. (Light & sound show).
  • Day 2 - Visit to Orchha by jeep (from 8.00 to 12 Noon) with pack lunch covering Orchha Temples,Palace & Lunch at bank of Betwa River. Departure for Khajuraho by 2 P.M.
  • Day 3 - Morning session - Visit to Khajuraho temples (from 9.00 AM to 1.00 PM). Evening session - Light & sound show at Khajuraho temples.
  • Day 4 - Visit to Raneh falls by Jeep from Khajuraho. Group break after lunch at Khajuraho Hostel and thereafter participants will be shifted to Jhansi Railway Station by jeep.
  • FEE : Rs. 4950/- for YHAI Members. Rs. 5500/- for non members, The fee covers I. Stay charges at Hotel Om Palace at arrival on 07/11/2013 with boarding. ii. Stay charges at Khajuraho Youth Hostel. iii. Jeep charges at Jhansi and Raneh Falls and shifting to Khajuraho and back to Jhansi. iv. Entry fees and guide charges at all locations.
  • Note :
  • 1. At some locations authorities will be charging for still/video camera. This is not included in participation fees. Participants has to bear by themselves only. 2. At Jhansi Hotel & Khajuraho Hostel rooms will be on sharing basis (Male & female separately).
  • REPORTING PLACE : Reporting at Jhansi - Hotel Om Place, Abott Gunj, Civil Lines, Chitra Chauraha, Jhansi (U.P.) 0510-2450005, by 12.00 Noon, on 07th November 2013. Visit to museum & fort will be after lunch. (Lunch will be provided at Hotel Om Place).
  • HOW TO REACH THE BASE CAMP : Jhansi is well connected with all major cities of India by Trains.
  • HOW TO JOIN : Members desirous to join this program may apply on a prescribed registration form duly supported by a Medical Certificate, along with DD of requisite amount in favor of SECRETARY, YHAI, M.P.   • CANCELLATION : Cancellation notice before 15 days of starting programme: 50% of the program fee as refund, Less then 15 days notice : No refund
  • All YHAI Members are eligible to participate in the program.

  • FOOD & WATER SUPPLIES : Simple nutritious vegetarian meals.
  • THINGS TO BRING ALONG : Light woolen cloths as per requirement, water bottle, Small Shoulder Bag, Personal Medicine, Sports Shoes, Sliper, Plate, Spoon, Mug, Lunch Box for pack lunch.
